After a shaky semifinal, the US came back to beat Mexico 2-0 in Dallas
Itβs been roughly 500 minutes since El Tri scored on the USMNT in a competitive match, let alone win (which happened last in 2019). This rivalry is always a fun one, a celebration, a (mostly) beautiful chaos that feels so specifically ours. But beating Mexico no longer feels like a litmus test, no matter how enjoyable the win of a three-peat Nations League trophy (and I must admit I rather enjoyed myself last eveningβ laughing at times, marveling at others, yelling in shock when Tyler Adams ripped off that shot from far out).Β
But the true test approaches this summer, with the Copa AmΓ©rica. This trophy is preparation for that.Β
